Groveport Pickleball Club offers organized leagues and competitive events during the outdoor playing season. League rankings and statistics are tracked in Global Pickleball Network (GPN).
League Formats
- Most leagues meet once per week and run about eight weeks. They’re not typically extended for weather or holiday cancellations.
- Leagues are typically offered in multiple seasons during the outdoor playing season.
- Ladder format: highest-scoring players move up one court weekly; lowest-scoring players move down one court weekly.
- Rankings and league statistics are tracked in GPN.

Common League Types
An all-ladies ladder league where players rotate partners every game during the season. The league combines competitive match play with a welcoming and energetic atmosphere. Match results are entered into DUPR if everyone agrees to use it before any games begin.
A coed ladder league where players rotate partners every game during the season.
All match results are entered into DUPR.
Fixed partners for the full season within a ladder format.
Partner requirement: Your partner must register and select you within seven days of your registration. If not completed within that window, you may be removed from the league. The seven-day window may be shortened if registration is close to the league start date.
A team-based competitive format offered seasonally. Format and structure may vary by season.
Competitive Events
In addition to leagues, the club hosts short-term competitive events in multiple formats during the outdoor playing season.

Event Formats
- Fixed Partner Events (examples: Kentucky Derby Partner Event, Charity Partner Round Robin, Groveport Partner Bash)
- Random or Rotating Partner Events (examples: Summer Shuffle Classic, Play for a Purpose Shuffle)
- Blind Draw Events (Women’s, Mixed, and Men’s)
- Singles Events (Women’s and Men’s divisions)
